Organizational Conflict Management Consultant & Educator for Non-profits and Social Enterprises
After practicing as a family lawyer for a few years, I decided to go back to school (because, why not). I gained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu, California. During this time, I also gained a new passion- the what, the why and the how of conflict engagement!
This new passion continued to develop until I could no longer resist its pull and set off down a new career path, which led me to start a new business and begin doctoral studies at the same time! I went on to graduate from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Conflict Analysis & Resolution, and have been privileged to do some really exciting and impactful work across the world, which has honed my skills as a conflict engagement specialist and as an educator.
What I like about my work is that no two days are exactly the same, because each client is different and presents me with a new challenge. In addition to my extensive knowledge and experience, I bring all my energy, creativity, and humor to guide and support them through their unique conflict journey.
When I am not serving my clients, you can find me cheerfully cooking all kinds of scrumptious Caribbean dishes in my kitchen, tending to the vegetable garden in my backyard, or learning about a new culture in some corner of our world.
